My momma fell today going into her house. She is fine... but daddy couldn't help her up, which only made the situation even more scary for him and her. Thankfully, Darbi was able to race to them and help!!! Thank you Darbi.
I was so glad my momma was okay, but suddenly felt a sinking feeling because this might have been avoided. See about 2 weeks ago, Beth told me that I should install handles for my parents, and I think my response was, "I will do it this weekend". Well, I did not 'get around to it' and I should have!
Racing to my parents house this afternoon, I swung by Home Depot and bought my parents a handle. When I got to their home, Beth was already working to make it happen and get a handle installed for my parents.
Lesson learned! Don't delay doing thise things that help make lives safer.
I am thankful for awesome friends and family, and obviously the fact that I am still learning! I will do better tomorrow!!!
